| Thursday, September 13, 2012

A peplum is a gathered strip of fabric at the waist of a piece of clothing, which forms a ruffle over the hips. Peplums reappeared on the fashion scene in the fall of 2011 and have become a fashion trend for 2012.
Actresses Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Jin Yi, who were in SBS’s A Gentleman’s Dignity, wear peplums to look luxurious. Kim wore a white peplum blouse to a press conference, and Yoon wore a sky-blue peplum at a party.
A peplum is a great item to cover a weak point of your body type and to make you look elegant. Let’s find out how to wear a peplum.
 Peplum two-piece suits look luxurious
A peplum two-piece suit is very luxurious in itself. Actresses Yoo Ho Jung and Cha Ye Ryeon wear black peplum two-piece suits for a trendy yet elegant look. They also tie their hair back to look simple and neat. Nam Sang Mi, who was in MBC’s series Light and Shadow, wore a retro-style pepulm two-piece suit at a press conference and looked luxurious and elegant.
Peplum skirts for a variety of looks
A feminine peplum can provide a variety of looks depending on how it is attached.
Actresses Cha Ye Ryeon and Yoon Eun Hye wore peplum skirts but they have totally different looks. Cha looks cute and causal in a red print peplum skirt, but in a black patterned peplum skirt, she looks modern and chic.
Yoon wears a puffier, longer peplum skirt to achieve a funky and lovely look.
A peplum blouse makes you look refined
A peplum blouse gives the wearer feminine charm, and it can also cover love handles.
Actresses Yoon Eun Hye and Song Hye Kyo wore black and navy peplum blouses at official appearances. They also wore thin belts to make their waist look thinner. Yoon looks bubbly in dark top and colorful floral-print skirt and Song looks calm in a navy peplum blouse with dark shorts.
Actress Go Jun Hee wears a nude-toned peplum blouse and black skirt to complement her thin waist and hips. Thanks to her peplum fashion, she showed off her sexy charm.
